Some discomfort, 5 to 10 days expected recovery
How it works
-
Dual Wavelengths
With the use of two wavelengths, both dermal and epidermal pigment are targeted.
-
LIGHT ABSORPTION
The laser produces short nanosecond pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the melanin pigment.
-
Pigment Break-up
The laser light is transformed into photoacoustic waves which mechanically break up the melanin pigment into smaller particles.
-
PIGMENT REMOVAL
These particles are then removed by the body’s own immune system, as the skin’s macro-phages clear the excess pigment from the area.
When possible, attend your appointment without makeup. Discontinue use of any skincare products on the treatment area 24 hours pre-treatment.
Apply Pink Skin Care Recovery Gel for 24-48 hours post treatment. Always apply SPF to the treatment area and limit sun exposure. Active skin care can resume 48-72 hours post treatment.
Please notify your clinician if there are changes to your medical history, medications or pregnancy. Hormonal imbalances can affect the treatment outcome and more treatments may be necessary. Cooperation and adherence to aftercare protocols is necessary.
